The Opportunity

We’re looking for a bright and charismatic Head of Portfolio Development to help grow our property portfolio. You will be fully responsible for identifying and closing contracts on premium apartments and villas in the UAE initially, along with overseeing and leading the Portfolio Development function in other markets as we expand.


You will be leading our Portfolio Development team bringing on new supply through research, lead development, negotiation and contract closure. This role will draw on strong business development skills and mark you our as a catalyst in the growth of Maison Privee.


The role will report directly to the Managing Director.

Key Accountabilities

  • Building supply. Through both proactive and reactive outreach face-to-face, over the phone, and via e-mail. The aim is to build a portfolio of extraordinary homes and inspire trust and confidence in Maison Privee under our property management model.

  • Strategic outreach. You will find creative ways to develop partnerships which allow us to add multiple properties to our portfolio from the same owners / companies.

  • Being commercially accountable. Our homeowners entrust us with their most valuable asset and they join Maison Privee because our service is simple, secure, and financially-rewarding. You’ll be accountable for making sure our homeowners have a good understanding of our offering which supports our account management team in ensuring we can deliver on this and, as a result, enabling us to maximise our commercial capacity.

  • Marketing. We know our company is the best option for guests and homeowners alike, building our network and reputation is the best way to grow our portfolio. You will work with the marketing team to strategically target homeowners through our campaigns.

  • Relationship building. You will develop a network of homeowners to ensure Maison Privee is the default choice for homeowners and property managers to maximise the commercial value of their properties.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 6+ years experience in the UAE. Experience in sales/business development in vacation rentals market is a bonus. Understanding of the real estate market in the UAE is highly desirable. Experience in SME’s beneficial.

  • Experience in hotel and/or large-scale residential property management (200+ apartments).

  • Proven track record of prioritising numerous tasks in order to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritise multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.

  • Very strong organisational skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to see the big picture and strategise while prioritising relentlessly and keeping an eye on the details.

  • Ability to develop and complete projects without direct supervision.

  • Ability to interact with senior management, external client organisations and vendors.

  • Experience in real estate development is a plus.

  • Goal-oriented. You take job satisfaction from hitting very ambitious growth targets.

  • Personable and empathetic. You’re capable and confident in explaining to homeowners and investors we are best placed to handle their most precious commodity, their homes.

  • Sound judgement, even under pressure, with a thick skin and ability to roll with the punches that come in this industry.

  • Commercial acumen and negotiation skills. An analytical approach to portfolio management and growing profitable supply.

  • Great communication skills, ability to work cross-functionally.

  • Flexibility. This role is fast paced and goals and targets can change. 

  • You are adaptable and amenable to change.

  • Role is based in Dubai and you will need to travel extensively around the city (UAE driving license is a must).
