SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES (FULL TIME)

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Finance Manager (SFM) to lead our finance function, manage the numbers and deliver the insight needed to shape Maison Privee’s unique business model. 

 

The SFM works with the business to support high level strategic decisions and ensure that all aspects of finance are managed effectively. The SFM will be a major contributor to developing the financial plans for Maison Privee as it goes through consistent high growth. Daily tasks consist of driving the finance function, analysing and identifying key financial information and trends to advise, drive and influence key business decisions. The function oversees the development of owners accounts, management accounts, financial reporting and planning. 

 

This role is based in Dubai and reports to our Managing Director.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee the development of owners accounts/statements on a monthly basis showing the breakdown of income and expenditure per property in a timely and consistent fashion

  • Develop monthly management reports to provide full visibility of company performance to management

  • Develop budgets and forecasts for the business running scenarios affecting the business activities

  • Oversee and deliver on the team's internal processes and reporting

  • Creates monthly and ad-hoc reports for the business with insight to improve decision making

  • Help drive profitability through the provision of quality management information and commercial advice

  • Make recommendations to support the achievement of both business strategies and operations

  • Oversee HR and Administration including payroll, visa management, trade license, permits, leases, contracts etc

  • Create ad-hoc business plans/models to support business ideas and requests

  • Provides analysis and guidance around monthly spend

  • Monitoring cash flow transactions and projecting cash requirements for future

  • Preparation of long term as well as short term budgets and conducting variance analysis to determine difference between projected and actual results and implementing corrective actions

  • Designing and implementing accounting systems & procedures; supervising the timely preparation of statutory books of accounts and finalisation of accounts, coordinating statutory audits, evaluating internal control systems / procedures to highlight the shortcomings and implementing necessary recommendations, making documents for all transaction for ready reference and audit trial

  • Legal compliance management including preparation of VAT, UBO, ESR filings

  • Screening new investment proposals and conducting feasibility studies to determine the financial viability of new ventures; projecting cash flow and growth opportunities.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience of working with data in a commercial, results driven environment

  • Strong accounting capability set with the ability to manage end to end accounting processes

  • Able to succeed in a fast, high-growth and fairly unstructured work environment

  • Ability to dig into details as well as analyse data from a high level view

  • Great commercial decision making and judgement

  • Driven self-starter, ready to roll up your sleeves and help shape our future

  • Inquisitive and analytical mindset. Capable of tackling complex problems and identifying the key issues

  • Highly numerate, with fine attention to detail and second nature quality control

  • Love of building and playing with models in Excel

  • Highly developed communication skills. Using empathy to build relationships and work across teams and locations

  • Experience delivering multiple projects simultaneously

  • Personal integrity

  • Excellent written communication with strong PowerPoint and Excel skills

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and manage a dedicated team

  • Bachelors in Business Administration/ Finance/ Economics, ACCA, CIMA, ACA or other internationally recognised accounting qualification
